Today, we've visited some parks of the city and the Natural History Museum of Ireland.
First, we went to Merrion Square, a park where there's an Oscar Wilde Memorial with a statue of him and some of his most famous phrases. In the memorial some of our partners told us the story of this Irish Writer. Finally, we walked through the park to go to St Stephen's Green.
In St Stephen's Green Park, the teacher Eduardo explained what happened in Dublin in 1916 during the Easter Rising when some Irish republicans started a rebellion to make Ireland independent from the UK. Then, we visited a Famine Sculpture in the park, where some of our partners explained what it was and why the Famine occurred. After that, we stayed there for more or less half an hour and we ate our lunch.
When we finished eating, we went to the Natural History Museum but we had to wait until 11 o'clock to visit it. So our partners explained us the taxidermy and we went to Merrion Square, that is near the museum to wait until 11 o'clock.
The visit to the Museum took 45 minutes. We visited the two museum expositions rooms, where we saw a lot of dissected animals.
Finally, we went to Liffey River where our partners explained us the History of Ha'penny Bridge. Then, we went to O'Connel Street to know how to go to the shops. There we saw O'Connel Monument and we ate again.
After visiting the city, we went to the English lessons and then we took the train to return to Shankill.
